So, I believe they are getting rid of challenge modes (or at least the current system, not sure if they have anything planned to replace it or a new system in the works) when 6.0 comes out. I know there are many of us who would like to get the achieves/mounts/transmog gear that comes with them before the chance to get them is taken away in a couple months. I also know that there is the possibility that there will be more than 5 people who want to do this; with that in mind I'll say that our ultimate goal will be to get everyone the achieves they want before 6.0. Meaning even if we need some people to sit or someone can't make it one night we will go back and get them the achieves they missed. I should also clarify that this applies to people who are with us from the beginning. So if someone were to want to join us in our quest for CM domination three weeks after we start doing them we would prioritize achieves for the people who had been doing them since the beginning and maybe go back and do others for people who show up late if we feel like it.

Ok, that being said we'll also need to figure out which night(s) we'll be doing them and for how long. Personally Monday night would be best for me as I am usually out doing something weekends, and I would like to go for 2 hours but would be open to other suggestions. I can bring Pally, Warrior, Shaman or Druid. Keep in mind that these won't be a cakewalk and will take time to complete, so one thing I won't bend on is you have to be willing to do your own research and study up on the encounters. If you show up and have no clue I'll replace you, with a pug if I have to. This ensures the greatest chance of success with the greatest amount of efficiency, we will want to get through these as quickly as we can as we don't have a lot of time left. I know everyone either has a job or goes to school (I will be doing both as of next week) but everyone should have enough free time to do study up on the encounters. So, if you're interested go ahead and post which nights and for how long you want to do it on said night and also which class(es) you can bring. Also keep in mind that the achieves ARE NOT account wide, meaning you have to get them all on one character so whichever one you go with will be the one you'll be using for the remainder of the CMz.

I just wanted to get this out there now so this will be missing a few pieces of information that I will be adding later. Such as a list that will reflect the order in which we will be doing the dungeons (so you can study them as we go rather than having to study them all at once, this should make it easier for those of us who don't have a ton of free time), and some links that have helpful information for completing CMz.

I'm down for CMs but I really only want Silver for the mount so if you get more people that want to go for golds prioritize them over me.

I'm good with Monday. I will only have the hunter geared for CM to start. I'm also flexible on time run but I wouldn't mind starting around our normal raid times. most likely available form 8 server on.

I'm good for any day as long as it's at raid time or later. I wouldn't be able to make any earlier times than that. Of course I would take my shaman for this and I could probably heal it but would prefer to dps.

I'd prefer Monday over Thursday, but since this is only for a couple of months further, I suppose it wouldn't make a difference either way.

I want to take my Warrior for this; while I'd have no issue doing it with the Monk for pushing Silver, we may very well hit a Gold or two in the process of that, so I'm going to bank on a not-too-willingness to do a lot of repeats. Better to just have one character the whole way. I wouldn't push for the Monk mog set, but I'd definitely do it for the Warrior one. Thankfully, she's not helpless, and has (most of) the gear capable of propping up via gem slots. Actively working on getting more. I'd be consumable-ready.

Tank gear might be a different story, but I switch loot specialization often in LFR, so we'll see if I get lucky there in short time.

So, here is the guide I will be using for CMz: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/6863526914

Would probably be a good idea if we all use the same guide, we'll also be doing the same order that is mentioned in the guide.

Also, I'll probably bring my warrior since my tank gear on Zal scales horribly and I didn't hang onto enough old gear to make swapping out gems and enchants and what-have-you not a complete pain in the ass. However, the likelihood of my bringing my warrior depends on whether or not Core can tank on his warrior, since the tank gear I have is mostly timeless and therefore no sockets and therefore useless for CMz. If Core is unable to tank I could possibly bring my resto druid, tho I like the idea of 2 warriors since that way we will have 2 AoE stuns with Shockwave and in my fury gear I have plenty of sockets (2 BoA's with 2 sockets each in them ftw!). I'm sure we'll talk about it more later tonight but the sooner Core can respond the better since it will give me more time to prepare the character I will be bringing so I wanted to get this out there asap.

I would be willing to bring in my priest. She already has a pretty geared healing set and a decent shadow set. Monday would likely be best for me around normal raid time. I'll try and take a look at the guide Zal posted and log in tonight to see what the plan is.

Good job last night getting the Scarlet Halls down on Gold! Next up is Gate of the Setting Sun and then Scholomance. If you can please watch the videos for these two for next Monday. Now that we're more or less used to our composition I believe that we could push for getting work on two instances in one night and therefore push these a little bit faster. We're coming up on WoD in 7 weeks and with 6.0 (even sooner) we might be losing a lot dmg from Core's warrior since they're taking vengeance away from tanks. Also, they're making changes that we'll have to adapt to and the videos might not be relevant any longer at that point due to those changes, can't say for sure of course put it is possible that this could be the case. So, the faster we can get through this the better. Once again, great work last night and let's keep it up.

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it last night guys, shit has been hitting the fan at work. We had a second shift temp quit without notice and I ended up having to go back in. Do you guys want to try to go this weekend at all? I should be free tonight and most of the day Sunday.

With Zal out this week, it doesn't leave us much time to finish up the challenge modes. I can sacrifice a weekend or two, as long as work doesn't interfere, to try to complete them before they're gone.

That is good news! I might be a little late. Posting in here just in case. I'm getting an oil change on my car at the moment and the dealer tends to be a bit slow.

Timeline news: the 2-week warning for the end of the PvP season was announced today (for 10/14).

http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/4370-PvP-Season-15-Ending-Soon

Important part:
Arena and Rated Battleground Season 15 will be coming to an end in a couple of weeks. Once the season wraps, we'll begin an approximately two week process to determine end-of-season reward eligibility.

The patch won't drop before that's all taken care of. CM Lore sent out a few tweets in response to questions that "a couple of weeks" more accurately means "as soon as a couple of weeks," which means Blizzard isn't 100% sure when the end of the season is going to be, but we can reasonably assume it's going to be very soon - most likely in 2 weeks, but it could also be 3.

That said, they also use an "approximately" for the 2 weeks following the season to dole out rewards. I'll bet money that they aren't going to get that done early, but anything is possible. Best case scenario (worst in ours), patch drops in 3 weeks. Worst, 5.

So what is the plan for this weekend on CMs? I know we are running tonight. I am going to be stuck at work late tomorrow and won't be available but Saturday and Sunday I should be free all day.

So, the plan for tomorrow (Saturday, 10/4) is to start at 5pm server time. We'll stop at 8:30ish server time as Kelth has plans tomorrow evening.
